Shihab al-Din Suhrawardi, Sheikh al-Ishraq

July 29 aligns with 8 Mordad on the Iranian calendar — the day set aside to remember Shihab al-Din Yahya Suhrawardi, the 12th-century philosopher called Sheikh al-Ishraq (“Master of Illumination”). His school of hikmat al-ishraq treated light as the path to knowledge: allegory, celestial order, and the search for wisdom run through his short treatises and visionary tales.
On the anniversary of that remembrance, the catalog opened a full collection under his name. Shihab al-Din Suhrawardi, Sheikh al-Ishraq gathers 23 sets drawn from those writings — suns of intellect, written light, Gabriel’s wing, the Simurgh’s cry, temples of light, and more. Themes move through illumination, allegory, spiritual awakening, and celestial measure rather than a single motif.
Sets in this collection:
- Sun of Intellect — Key to the Orient
- Sun of Intellect — Book of Illumination
- Sun of Intellect — Lamp of Wisdom
- Sun of Intellect — Celestial Instrument
- The Written Light — Reed into Rosette
- Eclipse into Dawn — Hidden Light Revealed
- Bird of Light — Feather into Flight
- The Language of the Ants — Secret Caravan
- Shaykh al-Ishraq — Sun of Intellect
- The Red Intellect — Crimson Falcon
- The Sound of Gabriel’s Wing — Celestial Voice
- The Tablet of the Throne — Celestial Decree
- The Book of Radiance — Lantern of Insight
- The State of Childhood — First Wonder
- Flashes of Light — Sudden Illumination
- A Day with the Sufis — Celestial Measure
- The Simurgh’s Shrill Cry
- The Temples of Light
- The Reality of Love — Beauty, Love & Sorrow
- The Language of the Ants
- The Occidental Exile — Key to the Dawn
- The Sound of Gabriel’s Wing
- The Red Intellect — Flight from the Cage
Sleepy Head

July 27 is Sleepy Head Day in Finland. In Naantali, the tradition crowns an Official Sleepy Head of the Year and sends them into the harbor with a ceremonial splash — a quirky midsummer ritual Visit Finland still lists among the country’s playful summer events.
Sleepy Head leans into that mood: a nightcap pointer and pillow-cuff pointing hand in midnight blue, soft cream, golden tassels, and water droplets. It’s a dreamy set for anyone who’d rather stay under the covers than join the splash.
Crème Brûlée

The same calendar day in the United States is National Crème Brûlée Day — the annual nod to the custard finished with a crack of caramelized sugar that National Day Calendar marks each July 27.
Crème Brûlée turns that finish into a cursor: a golden caramel shard for the default pointer, and a glossy, caramelized pointing hand for every link. Crisp and playful — without the sticky fingers.
