Hebrew Date

September 11, 2026 at sundown opened Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, on 1-2 Tishrei 5787. The holiday runs through nightfall on September 13. Because day one fell on Shabbat, many traditional communities sound the shofar on the second day only.

Hebrew Date is a dynamic set that shows the current Hebrew day and month on the pointer. It updates each day, so the date under your click stays current without opening a calendar app. A quiet match for a week when the civil and Hebrew calendars both matter.

OPEC Oil Vortex

September 14, 1960 closed the Baghdad Conference that created the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries. The five founders were Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela. OPEC later moved its secretariat from Geneva to Vienna, and the anniversary still marks a turning point in how oil producers coordinated.

OPEC Oil Vortex shapes glossy black crude into the pointer: a flowing loop with five gold marks for the founders, and a five-lobed vortex on hover. Anniversary crude, sized for a Mac click.

King of the Blues

September 16, 1925 is the birth date of B.B. King, born Riley B. King near Itta Bena in the Mississippi Delta. He became one of the defining electric blues guitarists of the twentieth century, known for fluid bends, vibrato, and the long run of guitars he named Lucille.

King of the Blues draws on Lucille: black, cream, and gold on the pointer and hand. A birthday set for the King of the Blues, sized for a Mac cursor instead of a stage.
