Weekly recap — AI bubble, open-source models, and hot dog season
Eight new Cursor Craft sets — five headline cursors plus three Persian calendar sets for Tirgan and Arash the Archer. Bubble, AI, Airdrop, Pride, Hot Dog, and more.
A week has gone by — here’s our recap of the biggest stories, and the cursor sets we shipped to match them.
The headlines
- Chinese hedge funds are warning that the AI bubble is ready to burst.
- China just open-sourced a Mythos-level AI model.
- A Solana token airdropped rewards to its holders.
- Pride Month officially ended.
- National Hot Dog Month started.
Each story got its own pointer + hand cursor set in this week’s drop.
New sets this week
Bubble

For the “AI bubble ready to burst” chatter out of China’s hedge-fund scene — a playful two-piece set with rounded, buoyant pointer and hand shapes. Light curves, soft forms, and a hint of pop without taking the doom loop too seriously.
Artificial Intelligence

China’s open-source push toward Mythos-class models called for something sharper. This set uses sleek silhouettes, circuit-inspired lines, and brain / storage motifs — a nod to the race to ship powerful models outside the usual closed labs.
Airdrop

Solana holders saw token drops land in wallets again — so we leaned into the moment with a modern airdrop-shaped pointer and hand. Clean curves, a little meme energy, still readable at desktop scale.
Pride

June wrapped, but the Progress Pride palette doesn’t have to leave your dock. Flowing stripe fills on both the default pointer and pointing hand — visibility and inclusion in every click.
Hot Dog

July is National Hot Dog Month. Normal pointer: full dog. Pointing hand: half-bite dog. That’s the whole brief. Summery, silly, exactly on theme.
Persian calendar — Tirgan & Arash the Archer
This week also lined up with two special occasions on the Persian calendar, so we dropped three additional culture sets — as we shared on X:
This week also features two special occasions on the Persian calendar, so we're dropping additional cursor sets.
Happy Tirgan & Birth of Arash the Archer!
Tir 13 falls on July 2, 3, or 4 — the ancient Tirgan festival of water, poetry, dance, and early-summer celebration. The same window marks the birth of Arash the Archer, the heroic figure from Iranian mythology who, in legend, fired the arrow that set the border between Iran and Turan.
Tirgan

Water-splash energy and festival colors — inspired by Tirgan traditions: splashing water, dancing, reciting poetry, and dishes like spinach soup and sholezard.
Tirgan (alt)

A second art direction for the same celebration — two looks for Tirgan, one festival. Pick the pointer that fits your desktop.
Arash the Archer

The archer himself — mythic, sharp, and tied to the birth commemoration on the Persian calendar. A heroic pointer and hand for the legend who put his life into the launch of that single arrow.
