How to change your cursor on Mac

macOS does not let you pick a new pointer the way Windows does. In System Settings you can only make the existing cursor bigger, recolor it, or shake to find it. To actually change the cursor on a Mac, you need an app that replaces the system pointers.

What you can change without an app

1. Open System Settings → Accessibility → Display → Pointer.
2. Drag Pointer size, set outline and fill color, and optionally turn on Shake mouse pointer to locate.
