Weekly recap — Viking Row, FIFA grass, and al-Khwarizmi
Three Cursor Craft sets for the week of July 16: Viking Row for Norway’s World Cup exit, Grass for FIFA’s $450 turf merch, and Al-Khwarizmi for the Father of Algebra’s birth anniversary.
A week has gone by — here’s our recap of the headlines, and the cursor sets we shipped to match them.
We posted the short recap on X. This page has the full release notes and previews for each set.
The headlines
- Norway eliminated by England — and with that, we will see no more “ro-ro” cheating (the Viking Row chant that drove World Cup feeds wild).
- FIFA’s latest merch — actual pieces of grass from the World Cup stadium, on sale for $450.
- Honoring a legend — July 14 (22 Tir) marked the birth anniversary of the great Persian mathematician and Father of Algebra, Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi.
Each story got its own pointer + hand cursor set in this week’s drop.
New sets this week
Viking Row

England ended Norway’s run — and the synchronized “ro-ro” rowing chant went with it. Inspired by Norway’s Viking Row supporter tradition (Gjallarhorn, drum beat, fans rowing in unison), this free set alternates two rowing poses on the pointer and hand. Viking ship energy, World Cup summer, one last hurrah for the chant.
Grass

FIFA started selling real stadium turf as collectibles — $450 for a piece of the pitch. We took the headline literally: a clean white pointer and hand with a fresh green grass sprout. Calm, playful, and a little absurd — nature on your desktop without the shipping fee.
Al-Khwarizmi Persian mathematician

22 Tir / July 14 — the birth anniversary of Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi, the 9th-century Persian scholar who helped establish algebra, gave us the word algorithm, and helped spread Hindu–Arabic numerals (including zero) into Europe. A premium set honoring the House of Wisdom legend on the Persian calendar.
